Jon McGee

JonMr. McGee graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. He earned his Juris Doctor from Arizona State University where he served as Business Editor of the Arizona State Law Journal and was co-director of the Volunteer Income Tax Program. In addition, Mr. McGee completed Santa Clara University’s Institute on International Intellectual Property Law in Munich, Germany and had the privilege to serve as an intellectual property intern for the law firm of Clifford Chance in Munich, Germany.

Mr. McGee brings over 10 years of applicable legal experience to ROV Systems, LLC, including private practice, small business and a fortune 500 company. While working for a national homebuilder, Mr. McGee assisted in the acquisition of over $85 million of real property, a multi-million dollar entity acquisition and several joint ventures. Thereafter, Mr. McGee served in general counsel and management positions for startups and small businesses. At one such entity, he managed a workforce of more than 100 employees, mitigated company risk and ensured legal compliance with hundreds of local, state and federal regulations, all while increasing annual revenue by more than 300%. For the past four years, Mr. McGee has been in private practice where he advises and counsels business entities and individuals. Mr. McGee’s relevant experience includes corporate law, real estate, intellectual property, securities, regulatory compliance, taxation and litigation. This broad based experience, coupled with Mr. McGee’s financial acumen, will help ensure that ROV Systems minimizes business risk, maintains the necessary compliance programs and operates with fiscal responsibility.

Mr. McGee was attracted to ROV Systems in part due to his background and interest in aviation. Mr. McGee grew up around airplanes and acquired his private pilot license in 1994. Mr. McGee also has work experience in the aviation industry. He previously worked for an international manufacturer of aircraft components, participated in a commercial feasibility study of Williams Gateway airport and has assisted clients with the acquisition and financing of corporate jets and other aircraft.
